Members of the OZONE4WATER consortium (Vítor Vilar, Alexandre Ferreira, Ricardo Santos, Madalena Dias, Cristiana Gomes, Mateus Caixeta and Inês Rodrigues) participated in the International Chemical and Biological Engineering Conference (CHEMPOR), held in Bragança, Portugal, from 12th to 15th September 2023. CHEMPOR is a well-established triennial conference, organised by a Portuguese Higher Education Institution and the Portuguese Engineers Association. The goal is to gather experts from the chemical or biological engineering areas and related subjects to exchange knowledge, science and technological applications within the academic, manufacturer, scientific, and technical communities. CHEMPOR addresses the general importance of engineering and technology in a variety of settings ranging from green chemistry to engineering education, always envisaging sustainable development and meeting societal requirements.
The OZONE4WATER team contributed with three research works entitled “Development of functionalized membranes for O2/O3 gas separation”; “Symmetric and asymmetric PDMS membranes for CO2/N2 separation using the inorganic filler ZSM-5”; and “A novel CFD approach to calculate the ozone mass transfer coefficient () in a tube-in-tube membrane reactor: coupling numerical and analytical modeling”.
